what rim fire is little bigger than a 44 henry and the case is 2'' 1/6 . found this old cartridge in the big hole of Montana on the Nez Perc? trail . not say it was from the war with indians.

  I believe it's an inside primed .45-70, not a rimfire. Made by Frankford Arsenal early 1870s.
