Browning a-bolt problem
I have a 7mm mag A-bolt. After I shot it and ejected the caseing the bolt would only close halfway. It seems like the back end of the bolt is twisted because the end is hitting the stock and not letting it close. Is this somthing I can fix or is this for a gunsmith? Thanks Bob.

I have a Browning A-bolt chambered for 30.06. It developed a problem where the bolt would not open after firing a shot. After a few minutes, the bolt will open again. Someone told me there may be a burr in the chamber. If so, how do I fix it? Could it be something else? 0 -
It sounds to me that the firing pin assembly has slipped. If you take out the bolt you should be able to pull back on the firing pin and rotate the assembly back in place. A quick drop by the gunsmith to insure the bolt is correct shouldn't cost much or require paperwork. 0 -
Ok I'll look at that thanks 0
