will a magazine marked on the package for the 76,760, 7600 work on the 770

  No is the short answer. The 76, 760, and 7600 are all slide actions, while the 770 is their generic POS bolt action.

  I have a Model 770 in 7mm Rem Mag.
  
  710 & 770 are same parts. You can find these very abundantly.

  But, that is all you'll find.
  
  I have a busted bolt getting fixed right now. Been waiting 5 weeks for parts.

  If they did, mine must have been made before the fix. I bought mine in 2005. Have been trying to get rid of it since.
  
  I think I'll just take it to a local annual gun auction in March. They have about a 1000 gun auction in Mattoon,IL. once or twice a year.

  The 770 was just a way for them to decieve the consumer, into believing they had out run their quality issue's. Unless it says 700 on it, it is Remington garbage(710, 715, and the 770). All they done is try to see how they could make it cheaper, to compete with the Savage 10/110 series. Now Savage has followed suit with the Edge, and Axis.[:(!][:(!][:(!]

  Accurate is a relative term. I have a couple carryabout combat tupperware guns, that are accurate enough for their intended purpose...they will not win a bullseye match though. Accurate does not always mean dependable, and reliable either...especially when you are holding half of the bolt that has broken off in your hand.

  the difference is the savage 110/10 action is a time proven commonity. the 770/710 and axis are not.the only bottom tier rifles i would buy is a stevens 200 or the marlin xl series. thhat being said i have seen some accurate 710/770s
