CMP Identification
When a rifle leaves the CMP inventory, does it have any stamps/marks to indicate that it has been through the their process? THX HAWKSHAW

Currently each rifle come with a yellow hang tag which lists its grade, barrel specs and sometimes the rifle's serial number is on the tag. You also get a little certificate of authenticity as well as your sales receipt. The rifles are not physically marked in any way which indicates that they originated from the CMP.

CMP certificates ahve changed over the years. This is what the current certificates look like:

The origin of CMP rifles is no longer listed on the certificate, it is now any one's guess where they came from!0 -
they must have stopped putting were they came from between june 04 and november 04 as thats when i recieved mine and no country of origin on the cmp certificate. eastbank. 0 -
I have one dated 2/10/05. The certificate & the invoice both state: Greek Issue.
My other one is dated Nov 30, 2005. The Invoice states Greek issue but the certificate does not. (They had jumped the price by $55. plus $2 more for freight.)
The carbine invoice dtd 5/12/07 doesn't make any mention on either the invoice or the certificate.
The invoice for the 1911 .45 auto doesn't seem to have any date.
The price was $14.15 plus $2.85 for "packing & handling".[:D]0 -
I only have one but my invoice is for $112.00 with all accessories . Of course you had to have a NRA HIGH POWER classification card to qualify. Mine came as a like new but rebuilt with glass bedded stock. [:D] 0 -
I think right now IF it comes with a new stock, the stock has CMP stamped on it. Otherwise no markings on the rifle itself. 0
