browning bar rear sight

can anyone tell me where I can find out the specifics on the rear sight on a browning bar. it would be a late 60s model. need a new rear sight and have no idea what its should have on it for a correct sight. thanks to all that respond. jar

  I had Belgium BAR in 30-06 that a Lyman like folding sight in a dovetail. You could e-mail Browning or Lyman or just take it to a real gunsmith/shop and see what fits. I really liked the 1.5 - 5 scope on mine. On 1.5 I could see about half the barrel in the scope, very fast for running rabbits.

  charliemeyer007 is right in that it is a folding sight that fits in a dovetail. I have had to remove a couple to fit large objective scopes to clear. They are hard to find but email me at daddyt@hotmail.com and I may be able to put you on one. good luck

  I had a late 90's BAR safari and the rear sight was made by williams, i would contact them.
