Savage Sporter Mystery Sights

Hello all, I recently acquired a Savage Sporter 22lr from a kid whose great grandfather had used for competitions back when. Anyway the front sight appears to be brass with a hood that surrounds it and the barrel and is a press fit. A base for a peep sight is all that exists on the rear and bears no numbers or markings.   I'd suggest scouring old Numrich Arms catalogs. They don't look original to me.
