Mosin Nagant Russian 91/30 sniper question

I am looking at a Mosin Nagant Russian 91/30 sniper rifle a friend has for sale and I was wondering what to look for to tell if it is an original sniper rifle or a made up one. He acquired from a friend who is now deceased and neither one of us knows for sure what to look for. It is dated 1943, it has a laminated stock and has CAI import marks on it. Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

  Close up quality photos would also be advisable for accurate identification. To verify if it's original, or a post import rework back into sniper configuration.
