Strange Win 92 markings

I recently acquired a Win Mod 92 frame for use in a project. When I cleaned it up, I saw an SN on the bottom of the frame "127".

At some point, someone stamped "MX" just in front of the SN. Does this have any significance? Could just be someone's initials I suppose but I've never seen it done that way before.
