There are many ways that a mixed parts pistol came to be. Group cleaning by soldiers, replacement of damaged parts during arsenal rebuild, or assembly by a civilian completing a project gun.

A pistol with an arsenal manganese phosphate finish & arsenal stamp might be worth $100-200 more than an obvious parts gun. Yours would be worth the same as any other mixed parts pistol with similar barrel, finish, & wear. A US&S slide that has been parkerized has no greater value than any other make refinished slide.

Hello Brent your pistol has TWO markets #1 is someone that wants a SHOOTER "parts gun" and #2 a person that collects 1911 parts of all makes and vintages. on the hope that he can use one or more of the parts of your pistol to complete one of his pistols that is missing one original part. The Story of U.S.S.S. using WW I parts is at best a far stretch and most likely an attempt to make the parts gun sound more desirable . It would take many up close and in focus pictures of each and every part from all angles to get top dollar for your parts from the person that collects parts to restore mis-matched pistols. Cheers Perry Shooter.
