Favorite .22 wrf

Gentleman, I own a Stevens Favorite rifle chambered in the .22wrf. Have not seen on GunBroker before. Belonged to my Great-Grandfather. Any idea on it's rarity or value? Have found .22wrf ammo, but have not fired till I get it checked out. seen in catalogs where it was made only when ordered., Thanks, Jack (doubsman)

  Without good, clear pictures or, at minimum, a detailed description of all markings, serial number, whether it's a takedown model, barrel length and condition, there's really no way to give you an estimate of value. It would be no different than someone saying they have a Model 94 Winchester .30-30 or a 1957 Chevy and asking for a value.

  They were only offered for a couple of years. I have been collecting Stevens for many years and the only one I have ever seen was on Gunbroker a little over a year ago. I bought it and have $620 in it. Would not sell it for anywhere near that. Mine is in excellent condition and has the Lyman fold down combination front sight, fold down rear sight, and Lyman #2 Tang sight which ups the price considerably. Pictures would be necessary to determine the value of yours. Condition and options are the determining factors.
