Screw vs Rivet

Ok, so I've been thinking about building my own AK and while doing some research I found a few builds that had the frame screwed together instead of riveted. I was wondering if anyone had built an AK with screws instead of rivets and if so, is it any good? Is it better or worse than rivets? Is it easier?

Any and all advise, info and help is greatly appreciated!

  i have a rebuild ak-47 with a east german kit, put together with allen screws and epoxied in place. this ak has shot upwards of 3000 rounds with out a bobble and is as tight as when put together.i,ll admitt it,s not pretty,but thats all. eastbank.

  Really depends on application and proper sizing of rivet or screws and types used...
  Then there are aluminum steel fasteners.

  I did an allen screw build with a Romanian "G" kit and while it doesn't look as "clean" as a rivet build it's still fully functional and has held up just fine. I used red loc-tite on the threads to prevent loose screws.

  I did a "screw build" a few years ago. It turned out o.k, but if I had it to do over, I would use rivets.
