Kind a wondering couple things (if I read your post corretly [:D]). I'm wondering if the grip safety has been pinned down or the sear spring keeping the grip safety out is weak/broken. As for the hammer dropping when you do your thing I'm thinking a worn or highly "tricked" out sear.

Give her a strip down frame cleaning and you'll see the issues on the bits.

Hammer follow through is a serious problem, the sear needs to be replaced or fixed if possible. Good Luck with it.

When some one tries to do a trigger job one of the first things they do is File, Sand, Stone, polish the sear nose. The second thing they do is shorten the hammer hooks [V][:(!][xx(] . The safety keeps the sear from rotating on its pin .BUT it has to be able to engage and disengage with the hammer cocked. What happens when you shorten the sear nose is the safety will engage you pull the trigger the sear moves across the hammer hooks just slightly but the sear being shorter now has moved somewhere between 5% and 99% across the hammer hooks you disengage the safety and Kaboom because the sear can not prevent the hammer from falling. You have to under stand the safety needs to be FITTED to the sear and hammer to prevent the Kaboom. Be safe .many Bullseye shooters NEVER use the safety so it may be years before some checks the safety. they do a trigger job and think ALL IS WELL [xx(][:0]
