REMINGTON A3-03 EXPERTS
I value you gentlemen's opinion so please tell me what this gun should sell for .. we had this in our shop forever in the "not for sale" section and I have been putting an "archive" gun out once in awhile to clear some space. Sorry Bert the Winchester's will be the last to go !!

It's a nice gun but worth about half of what you are asking. CMP had them for about $4-$600 depending on grade, and on the open market they usually go a bit higher if really nice (or right in that range for an average one).
Buyers of milsurp rifles want to know about bore condition, muzzle and/or throat erosion, rust, cracks, nicks, whether the serial numbers all match, parkerization wear, etc.0 -
That's a nice 03-A3, but you need to lower your price about a grand if you want to sell it.
Scott Duff doesn't even ask that much for them.0 -
A seach of closed auctions show similar rifles selling in the $ 700.00+ range. That's what you would get at a show around here as well. 0 -
It appears that most of the metal is original & the finish is original, with the exception of the forged (grooved) barrel band, which should be stamped.
An original stock would have an RA cartouche, inspectors stamps, & a proof P. An arsenal replacement stock would have an arsenal stamp & a proof P. With no markings at all, this stock is most likely a NOS replacement, widely available on the parts market until recently; look for a K (Keystone) in the magazine cutoff notch.
I would estimate value at $500. But, it looks nice & not every buyer knows what an original stock looks like, so, if sold at auction, it could possibly bring $600-800.

Ok thanks guys please disregard the price I just started it there so util I knew what I had for sure. Thanks as always. 0 -
FWIW: That stamped trigger guard/magazine box is Smith Corona. The Remington was slightly different. 0 -
All the previous comments have merit, but here in Illinois I never see a better than average 03a3 sell for less than $600. I believe the CMP has been out of them for over a year and as they say, "they aren't making any more of them" Yours looks like at least $700 0
