Weatherby Mark V price help
What would be the best estimate for a price on a Weatherby Mark V Southgate Left Handed 300 mag w/ Redfield Scope. This gun has been fired only 5 times maybe, mint condition. Sorry but can't get pics up yet

It depends on which Redfield scope it is, but the rifle itself is around $1200.00, if there are no scratches on it.
Most likely the scope will not add much value to it.
Best
EDIT 1
I am sure that Redfield did not make their Ultra Illuminator series scopes with a 40mm lens. Those were the only Redfield scope that was worth more than 200.00 for sporting purpose. The 3-9x40 is either an Accu-Trac or a Golden 5 Star. Either one would add no more than $50.00 to th rifle. The rifle itself is along the lines of the Sporter Mark V, and about $1200.00 NIB...which it is not. Not being NIB, the price drops like the proverbial rock, depending on graded condition. At 98% it is $1000.00, 95% is $900.00, and 90% is $825.00.
Those are according to the most current Blue Book, which does not reflect the present market, which is pretty poor.
If he can get more than $1200.00 from it, then tell him too.

Not to steal the thread but it
wasn't that many years ago that
if you put an amount of money
in a savings account for
a predetermined amount of years.
One would receive a Weatherby rifle
up front instead of the accrued interest.
it wasn't a whole lot of money either.0 -

Yup, a few banks/credit unions "out west" (montana, wyoming, colorado) did this only instead of a savings account you did a CD for a year or 13 months...0 -
Scope is a Redfield 3-9x40..owner is thinking it is worth a substantial amount more than the 1200.00, i told him NO WAY 0 -
