I have been watching the Cobra auctions and noticed that the stainless guns seem to have an almost chrome finish. Would a gun in your hand look more of a satin finish or the lights in the auction pictures be giving the chrome effect.

There is not much of a difference in the looks of brushed stainless versus brushed chrome. I am sure the lights can't be all the difference in all the auctions I just looked at.

There are different finishes cataloged. BRTSTS on the box end label indicates a high polish finish. The satin finish guns will vary, depending upon the worker doing the polishing.

bright stainless guns were typically $50 more new. It was considered a premium finish at the time, but now all cobras are pretty much a premium gun.
As an owner of a Cobra, I love it, I have 1000's of rounds through it, BUT...
Spend the extra money and get the Python. The trigger pull is so much smoother and more comfortable. It's nearly impossible to fire the cobra in double action and hit the bull.0
