    Being made in 1929 it was before congress passed the National Firearms Act in 1934. Prior to that, having a blast suppressor was considered a convenience, sine then they have been Gangster weapons, just like the H&R HandyGun.

    Perhaps a false muzzle screwed on for loading bullets down the bore as opposed to a breach seater. If you search this forum there are pic's of the period correct Maxim silencers threads and cap.

    Value? Assuming good bore and in working condition, I'd guess, in my neck of the woods anyway, it would likely bring $300 to $400.
    A good shooter, but from outward appearances and barrel threading, not something that collectors would flock to.
