Marlin 444
It appears that Marlin no longer produces a lever action 444. I could not find a dealer with any and was unsuccessful in obtaining any info from Marlins customer service. Does anyone have any info on this?

My wife is wanting a lever action deer rifle. We already have a 30-30 so I was looking at the 444 Marlin. Does anybody have any info as to the amount of recoil and haow well it shoots. I have a Marlin 450 and love the way it shoots and the knock down power. You can email me at jdolso1@msn.com 0 -
IT is still listed on their website as a current product, maybe
you need to find a dealer that actually handles Marlins to check with his distributor .

IMO you'd be better off buying an older 444 since they will hold their value a lot better than the newer Remlins. 0 -
I'm with toad67, find an old one. Perhaps a stainless steel guide gun in 45-70, especially if you load for it. 0 -
