Filling Crosman #112?
I have a Crosman 112 (22 cal CO2 pellet pistol). In the mid 1980s after it had worked flawlessly for several years, I had a pellet get stuck sideways in the chamber. I contacted Crosman and sent it to a factory qualified repairman in Spokane. I got it back and while the pellet had been removed, the pistol no longer accepted CO2 as it normally had. Other things were going on so it set on a shelf for several years. About five years ago I sent it to another highly recommended repairer in Oregon. I received it back and it had CO2 in its tank, but as soon as it ran out and I tried to fill it from my recently purchased bulk tank it only seems to accept enough CO2 for about 3 shots. I called the repairer up and may have got him on a bad day, but for whatever reason, he claimed whatever problem there was with the gun was my fault and he wasn't taking it back.
Anyone know if there is some trick to filling the tank on a 112 or similar Crosman pistol so that I can fill it to capacity (which it used to get about 50 shots per tank).

A very long time ago I worked on one. What lube are you using? The Crossman 600 was my favorite after I slick it up. It would hold CO2 for more than a year. Take the disconnector out and it would put all 10 pellets in a dime size hole across the room in a heart beat.
Added We had some kind of penetrating oil (back in the 70's) that came in small tubes that was magic on CO2 guns. I think your valve is letting out too air on each shot, unlikely the reservoir isn't filling up. Take it apart and clean and lube it, inside and out. http://anotherairgunblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/crosman-116-disassembly.html0 -
the Crosman brand stuff that comes in the small tube. This is a single shot. 0 -
Lots of work, but try it yourself.

GREAT!!! that's exactly what I needed- now I can take it apart and see why it won't accept the CO2. I recall previously when it got filled the tank frosted over and presently it barely gets a chill.
thanks again!!0 -
We never had a problem with dad's. He got it in the '50,s and the last time it was shot was mid '90,s. 0
