S & W Model 10-5. DOM?

I acquired a fine chromed 2 inch , 6 shot model 10-5.
It has original n
Matching wooden grips too.
Serial # D 835573.

Can anyone tell me approx. the age of this pistol?

  FYI your Model 10 is nickel plated, not chromed.

  Fyi don't use hoppes to clean the outside. If you have even a small amount of plating missing the hoppes will get under it and start peeling. You can use it sparingly in the bore..just be careful.

  If it has the original finish (nickel), then it will have an N stamped on the barrel, cylinder, & frame. If not, then it might be chrome plated by.....someone other than S&W.
