H&R models and dating

I am new to the gun selling business so I am trying to learn as tmuch as I can. I have a H&R 976 for sale with a 7.5" barrel. A GB user asked me about the length because he is looking for a 12" barrel. I can't find anything on the Web that would indicate there is a model 976 with a barrel that long. Help please?[?][?][?]

  The H&R model 976 never came with a 12" barrel. He is probably thinking of the H&R model 676 that did come with a 12" barrel.
