Sig 229 Loaded Chamber question
I recently purchased a Sig 229 with a loaded chamber indicator and printed in silver "Loaded When Up" on top of the slide, is this something that's on newer guns, or something else, I've never seen this before, and I have other Sigs?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Mine doesn't have such an indicator. 0 -
Must be new on the 229, my 226+228 doesn't have one. 0 -
sig has a new extreme line being made.
For California headed guns they make a special model with a required loaded chamber indicator and a couple of other required things.0 -
It seems strange, as I have other 229's and they don't have that feature. It's fine, I've just never seen it before, and I was wondering if anyone else did.
When I bought the gun, there was just a left and right view, not a top view picture.0 -
California compliant SIG's...
A loaded chamber indicator and a magazine safety.

I would call it worth less.
Not for a lawyer. [V]
Firearms with instructions or cautions printed on them just piss me off.

...could very well prove worthy in low light/dark situation where feel alone with a quick swipe of a finger will tell if chambered or not.A tactile loaded chamber indicator is mighty handy, but writing it out in great big letters twice along the top of the slide isn't to my taste.0 -
That's exactly what I have, seemed strange! Is it worth any more or less than a normal Sig 229? 0 -

Nor does mine...0 -
Lawyers & nanny state aside, could very well prove worthy in low light/dark situation where feel alone with a quick swipe of a finger will tell if chambered or not.
