Anyone confirm or deny this?
I was told that all Colt manufactured SAA revolvers (even new ones) are considered Curios by the ATF and are thus C&R qualified. Anyone know for sure if this is true or false?
I see a discussion from 2013 saying all 2nd Gen Colts up to 1976 are C&R but has this changed to include 3G models?

I have not heard of any change that would include 3G or 4G SAA's as C&R's. They will have to wait until they are 50 years old.

2nd Generation models "Yes"; 3rd Generation models "No". 0 -
In addition to the "50 yr old" criteria, there are guns that the ATF put on the list without regard to the 50 yr criteria. Here is part of the list-

As said, the SECOND model, made 1956-1976, yes. There is no mention of the 3rd. Anyone that tells you they are, ask them to show you where it says that.0
