Bert H, Thank you for the answer regarding the pictures, I just bought a model 94 25-35 WCF, serial 546953 SRC Bottom of barrel has an F stamped near the receiver and 25-35 M.N.S. Sorry I missed you at Reno, Regards, Les

  Your Model 1894 was manufactured in late March of 1912. The barrel should not have the Model designation marked on it, as it was marked on the upper tang at that time. The "M.N.S." marking on the bottom of the barrel is for "Midvale Nickel Steel".
  
  I will be in Reno again for the April 2015 show.
