NEW VAQUERO reverse-indexing pawl?
Will someone describe what this is?
If I am not mistaken the new ruger vaqueros have this feature and the old vaqueros do not.
thank you.

I don't own any Ruger single action pistols But I suspect The difference may be the fact That most people like the system
of the orginial Colt single action in the fact that when you pull the hammer back there are 4 stages or clicks "COLT" in the second click
position you can open the loading gate and rotate the cylinder in ONE DIRECTION only people that are good at it can use their left hand to rotate hear a click of the cylinder lock and then reverse the rotation this will align the cylinder to load one round this allows one round at a time to be loaded if you go too far and miss a round you have to go all way around. Lots of guys like to load 4 skip a hole then load one to have 5 rounds loaded and hammer down on an empty chamber. You cant turn cylinder backward on the load notch. the older three sctew Single 6 were like the colt until Ruger converted them [V]0
