Have a stripper clip with some shells in it that have stamped F A 33...any idea about them or value... one has F A 27

Frankfort Arsenal, Manufactured in 1933 and 1927
Most likely 30-06 (even if reformed to something else, but could be a few others that were forced into the stripper.
Stripper, depending on markings, is probably worth more than the brass, and even than is a $1-$5 item (if you can find "that guy")0 -
Should be 7.62-54 {308} if original in clips [;)] 0 -
"7.62-54 {308}" Typo? 7.62x51, rather, to be near the .308. But regardless, time frame is off. Tailgunner is correct for date & arsenal, and 30-06 in five-round stripper clips for use in M-1903's & M-1917's.
30-06 dimensions are easy enough to find on-line to verify.

That little smiley face with the winking eye means that dcs is saying, "I'm kidding."
Mailman - post a photo and it will take about 10 seconds for 100 forum members to positively identify what you have. But, I'd bet a dollar that Tailgunner nailed it.0 -
I have a bunch of this stuff. It is indeed 30-06 USGI brass made at Frankfort Arsenal. I got 800 rounds for $5. Mine still had the original primers, someone had pulled the bullets and dumped the powder. Primers were all good, corrosive of course. After shooting I found some have extreme crimps, but was nothing a primer pocket de-burrer and reamer couldn't fix. Shoots as well as any other military 06 brass, has no real collector value. Given that ball ammo is selling for $.50 a round right now, I'd say that it's worth about $3.50 for the whole clip. Maybe $5 since it's old.
I'd just shoot it and clean as with any other corrosive ammo and call it a day.0
