That would be the Ithaca English Ultrafeatherlight made for a few years starting in 1982. It has a straight grip stock made without a butt plate (seriated), aluminum receiver, 25" vent rib barrel. The one I have weighs 4.9 lbs. (That's scale weight, not advertised weight.) The list price in 1982 was $496. I bought mine used about 8-10 yrs. ago and paid about that for it. They are kind of hard to find.

Yup, the Nova will probably be one of the lightest. The Mossbergs are pretty light also, but the barrel are a little heavier than the Benelli.

A Remington Model 31 lightweight would do the trick. Not sure of the exact weight, but mine feels well below 6 pounds with a 28 in. plain barrel. The aluminum receiver cuts the weight way down. They appear occasionally on GunBroker. Would never shoot short magnums in mine, but that's not the purpose.

If they want to go lighter yet, and it can be a semi-auto...Franchi 48 AL, in 20, or 28 gauge. I have a 28 gauge with a 26" tube. It weighs in at just over 5 pounds.
