  If you google "winchester 1906 serial numbers" the first on the list is a PDF. Page 16 has the production #'s by year. 1927 by this list.
  
  Your rifle looks original. I have an altered one, with a Remington barrel, good shooter. Perhaps some day I'll get a correct tube if I wear the current one out.
  
  I like the exposed hammer, but my 121 Remington is more man sized.

  I have repeatedly stated this over and over on this forum (and several others)... do NOT trust the information you find on the internet (Google) in regards to Winchester dates of manufacture. The only website that contains 100% correct Winchester DOM information is the WACA (Winchester Arms Collectors Association) - http://winchestercollector.org/dates/
  
  In the case of Model 06 serial number 669582, it was manufactured on October 4th, 1924.
