Mossberg 500 trigger reset problem

During a function test I cycle the action and pull the trigger dropping the hammer. Without releasing the trigger I cycle the action. When I let off of the trigger it does not reset. In order to get it to reset I have to put the safety on and off. Any ideas?

  Sounds like a disconnector issue. Take it apart and look for a missing/weak/broken spring in the area around #56. Make sure the area is free of dried grease and gunk build up.

  I already did that. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. The trigger return spring seems a little weak but I don't know if that is how it normally is.

  The disconnect seems to be hanging up at the very end. Can't figure it out.
