AR-10 charging handle

I'd like to replace the charging handle on my 308-AR-10.The extended ones would work better with the scope I have mounted. Are they identical to the AR-15 handles?. thanks

  I use this on on a 5.56 AR 15, but there are three choices here for 7.62 AR 10. A top of the line drop in part.

  You can also purchase just the tactical latch, as they're called, for under $10. Most are listed as .223 but I use one on my AR10.

  +1 on the BCM Gunfighter. I have them on all of my ARs...different models for the .223s and .308s. The "medium" (pretty large) size works well for me. quote:Originally posted by He Dog

  I use the "Tac Latch" by Badger Ordnance on all of my AR platform rifles.

  I also have the badger ordinance tac latch. Over time it will cause extra wear on the factory charging handle. Mine had excessive wear on the opposite side of the "slide" because with the extra force on the latch, it flexed to the other side. Eventually, it ripped the roll pin out that holds the latch. I replaced the charging handle with the BCM Gunfighter. The BCM is made much stronger. Go with the BCM
