Maybe see how strong a magnet is when compared to a known carbon steel, comparable size pistol?

A hard chrome Detonics would be a nice find.

I tried a magnet on the Detonics, a stainless steel Colt, and a chrome plated Abilene. I couldn't tell a difference on any of the three.

Sounds like a stainless Combatmaster (Officer size with the rear sights pushed forward with a funky cut on top of the slide).

Say when you pack the magazine to capacity is there a small tab sticking out of the bottom? Those magazines are collectable.

*Might wanna spend some time looking for things here http://biggerhammer.net/detonics/

Might have to look way back for info. Man what the Hell happened here?

**The market for those magazines are soft. Depending on condition $50-$100 but I reckon $50 on a really nice one. Unless there's an odd bidding war [:D]. Kind a like the "Detonics" marked 8 round magazines that used to start at $100. Now I think I saw one not too long ago in a factory zip loc and card board backing for about a hundred.

Yes, it's a Combatmaster with the magazine you described.

I have one of those magazines. I did not know they are collectable. What is the approxomate market value for such a magazine?
