will a clip for a model 54 fit 1532 of the same caliber

  Hard to say. The old 54 sporter had the mag catch in front. New ones in
  .22lr should work in the 1532 22lr's.
  I will try to find out if the .222 and 22 hornets interchange from gun to gun.
