Lately I've been on a Cooper rifle kick, especially the 57's in 22 caliber. I recently purchased an LVT and have heard the holes in the stock referred to as buick holes. At 50 years old I guess I'm not old enough to know what in the heck those are. Thanks.

I did a search for "buick holes" and nothing came up, so thanks! FWIW did the holes provide for the intake or were they just there for looks?0 -
Buick port holes were there for years the special & super had 3 per side as they were 2 barrel Carb the centry and roadmaster har 4 per side as they were V8 with 4 barrel Carb they were fake exaust pipe holes in the hood/front fenders YES I AM THAT OLD [:I] 0 -
Some of the newer Cadillac's have them too. They are encircled in a gold or chrome ring.
Did you ask Cooper about any "MAGAZINE's"?...hehehe

Those are not "Buick holes" they are "VentiPorts". I can remember when they were advertised as such.[:D][:D][:D] 0 -
Perryshooter, I am with you, I made out in a '57 Buick Special. 0 -
Karl and Hedog, more '56 trivia for you----
All four models had the "thermometer" speedometer, the Super and Roadmaster had higher trunks as opposed to the Special and Century, and the Super had chrome headlight covers as opposed to the painted ones on the Roadmaster. Dynaflow transmissions in all four. I cost Dad five transmissions in his Super !0 -
Ah, yes.
We were a Buick family in those days.
My first car was a 1957 convertible.0
