Magazines for Win 100 .308
I just acquired a "as New" Win. 100, in .308. It came with two mag's
The dimensions of the mag"s are slightly different, visually. The stamped arrow on the bottom of the mag's are different. The one that fits, and works with the release lever has the arrow in positive relief, (the arrow extends outward toward the palm of your hand. It is also stamped .243, and .308 on one end. Also on the mag. follower it shows---M-100.
The mag that doesn't work has the arrow, stamped inwardly, with part of the follower marked "4ctgs, only". My best guess is that the NON-Working mag. will not go into the well far enough for the release lever to engage the notch on the mag. Ideas, and solutions please. THANKS

Like the difference in the magazines for the Remington 742/7400, vs. the 760/7600...semi vs pump. I suspect you have a magazine for a model100 semi auto, and the other is for the model 88 lever action.

M-88 MAGAZINES WILL WORK IN A M-100 BUT MAY NEED SOME SLIGHT FITTING, THEY ACTUALY WORK BETTER AS THERE IS NO 'HOLD OPEN' AFTER THE LAST SHOT. 0
