Parkerizing question
Is it possible to parkerize over bead blasted nickel plating? Will it adhere?

I doubt you will get it to react with the nickel.

JUST un plate THE PISTOL first. Plating can be removed the reverse current from when it was plated. 0 -
I believe that Brownells sell a chemical denickeling solution? Call up one of their customer service techs. To see if it's possible, to Parkerize steel parts. After they have been denickeled, using this stuff. 0 -
Use Starbright to blast the nickel off.
Then parkerize [;)]0 -
Second PerryShooters suggestion, have it unplated/deplated.
DON'T try to beadblast it off, you will find little spots of nickel after you park it.0 -
It will need to be unplated first, best done by the aforementioned electrolytic method. Then it will need to be sand/abrasive blasted before Parkerizing. Beadblasting will not form the optimum finish for Parkerizing to build up on. 0
