Winchester 94 1957

Anyone have an idea what a flawless 1957 model 94 (30-30) is worth?

I recently bought a revolver from a guy and he showed me this rifle and said he wanted to sell it.

I can't find a mark on it anywhere, the bluing is perfect as is the wood.

  There will be a big difference in value depending upon whether it is:
  --100% finish after being refinished, or
  --100% of original finish.
  
  If you will post photos, we can probably tell the difference.

  These are the only two I have right now.
  The wood is proud and doesn't look as if it's been touched same with the metal. The fella swears it has never been refinished and says it's been in his safe for over 20 yrs.

  As I said in the GD Forum, I would guess $750-$850 if it's original finish.

  While the stocks are still proud, it appears they have had some sort of sealant added to them. The bluing appears suspect also, even though the bolt holes do not appear to be dished. It might appear as it is polished out too much. Need better pictures to see well...especially of the proof marks.
  
  Even if it is not original finish, it is a beautiful rifle, and as long as you are buying it for a shooter, I think $600.00-700.00 is not out of order.

  Hmmm. Could be wrong, but I don't think a '57 should be drilled for a receiver sight???

  Model 94 receivers began to be D&T'd for peep sights during 1952. Therefore this one is correct. Definitely do need some better photos of both sides of the receiver and the stamped writing on the barrel. Take the rifle out doors into bright open shade and DO NOT use a white background.
  
  The $630 rifle has non factory sling studs, worn wood finish, and is missing the front sight hood. It is at its top dollar limit in my opinion.
