Shipping ammo to NY and NJ
I sold batch of ammo on GB and buyer living in NJ provided residential address of NY. I looked up NY safe law and find out that ammo can be shipped only to FFL holder. My question will I brake the law if I'm living in IL and send ammo directly to NY resident? I asked buyer to send me FFL address but he refused.
Thank you
Thank you

yes for current law 0 -
You don't want to get involved, in something like this. Refund the buyer his money, as long as he doesn't give you negative feedback on the auction. If he won't agree to this, don' give him his money back. 0 -

He did not pay, and I sent message to GB Customer service asking to cancel deal, replay was I need to relist this item. That what I did. Also I sent message to the buyer advising him that I will not ship ammo directly to his NY address. Buyer agreed but I cannot guarantee that he want post negative feedback.0 -

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about the feedback. I wouldn't sweat it. On your new auction be sure to note, that certain States require ammo be shipped to FFL's.0 -
Yes, Thank you for fast answer. Regarding rules already did.

I live in NY State and I just have the seller ship it to my local FFL dealer in my name. 0 -

As an IL resident, you are not bound by NY laws. There are no federal laws that prohibit you, as an individual, from shipping ammunition directly to a NY resident. ( For an FFL to ship ammo to a NY individual is another thing altogether.)
But, you did the right thing.0 -

Once again, you err in your philosophy. Even there is no law binding him, what will happen if frivolous lawsuits from the henchmen who enacted this NY law...ones that he will have to pay dearly to defend himself...which can be worse than breaking the laws.0 -

I have to agree with this one. It is bad law, it is unfair law and I am sorry for NY folks who have to deal with this, but bad or good it is the current law.And our best intention to obey the law.I came from former CCCP and I know how bad it can be if country has no law.0
