  As mentioned, it stands for "Companion Carry Option".
  
  Why? I don't know. . .someone in Para marketing probably thought it was cool.
  
  If you like the idea of a small DA-only 1911 this is probably fine, but I'd advise you NOT to get this in 45GAP! [;)]
