This is covered by State laws in Florida. The first thing I would do would be to check the Florida Department of Justice web site. To see if their is a minimum age listed, for the purchase of black powder handguns. If you can't find anything specific. E-mail them for a determination.
I definitely wouldn't be selling anything, until your sure you got all your ducks in a row.0 -

I think the question here is about legality. Obviously you "can" ship such a gun, you want to know if doing so will violate any laws.
Its not against Federal law.
Here is the relevant statute from FL State law:
quote:ANTIQUES AND REPLICAS
Unless used in the commission of a crime, the term firearm shall not include an antique firearm. An antique firearm is any firearm manufactured in or before 1918 (including any matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar early type of ignition system) or replicas thereof, whether actually manufactured before or after the year 1918, and also any firearm using fixed ammunition manufactured in or before 1918, for which ammunition is no longer manufactured in the United States and is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade.
So by my read, it would be legal for an 18 year old in FL to possess a black powder revolver if the gun in question were either made before 1918 or a replica of a pre-1918 gun (eg one of those Civil War era percussion revolvers).
Note that in FL its legal for minors UNDER 18 to possess "weapons" (of which a black powder gun would certainly qualify) if they have the approval of their parents. Minors CAN legally possess firearms in the State of FL, with parental approval, if the gun is at home and unloaded, or if they are engaging in lawful activities.
Whether or not a felon is permitted to legally possess a black powder gun in FL is a bit of a gray area, but presumably this 18 y/o isn't a convicted felon and this doesn't apply. Even if he were, I'm not sure *you* would be violating the law in selling him one, but again, that's a specific question, I can't answer, and I think in any case you're probably wiser not to sell felons firearms.0
