Savage ring height
Every wonder if you could do anything right. I purchased a 4-12 vortex 40mm AO scope to go on a Savage 93r17 heavy barrel.
Tried medium rings and now high's the front bell is still contacting the barrel. I bought weaver grand slam rings in both heights.
Are extra high rings the solution?

Put the extra highs on there and a cheek pad on the stock 0
