Mossberg 500 youth

Is the receiver the same as the adult model? Are the 20ga and 12ga receivers the same?

Specifically, will a stock from an adult model bolt on to a youth model.

The one I am looking at is only three years old and too cheap to pass up, if I can make the swap. Especially since I already have the adult size stock.

  Youth model receiver and guts are the same as the normal versions. The youth models 500 will take any accessories (including barrel, stock, etc) as the normal ones.
  
  Differences are in barrel, stock, and pump.
  
  The youth models come with a shorter 22" barrel standard.
  
  Youth stock is both shorter (for shorter length of pull) and has a different pistol grip shape for smaller hands.
  
  And finally the forearm on the youth model is the 'EZ-reach' which puts it a little closer to the receiver to make it easier for smaller shooters to rack.
  
  Receivers are slightly different between 12 and 20, with the 12 having a slightly wider receiver. I think stocks will still usually interchange between the two, though.
