A5 Repair
Can you take the carrier assembly out of a A5 without breaking the whole gun down? Seems like the spring is shot, my carrier flops uncontrollably when it should be firm and seemingly spring loaded.

I fitted a carrier spring once and it was a real learning experience with using dye chem in order to just thin it down just enough to function without binding. I don't remember having to take it totally apart in order to fit the spring. #19

there shouldn't be any 'fitting' involved, the carrier spring is pretty standard. you do have to remove the butt stock (1st) and trigger guard (2nd). there may be a part difference between the 'old' a-5 and the 'new a-5 (safty in front of the trigger, or safty in back of the trigger) 0
