Very comprehensive review here. My take on it, is that you would be ahead of the game. Just getting a conversion kit,for your own AR. Only thing that the JR has going for it, is that it takes Glock mags.

Good customer service. My dad blew up his 9mm barrel with CCI Blazer ammo and JRC fixed it free of charge. 0 -

Geri,
It depends on what you intend to use it for.
If it's just for plinking and general enjoyment, have at it! If you think this will be a serious SHTF scenario firearm, guess again.
While the versatility of the various chambers is a big draw and gets a lot of folks all worked up about having several 'guns' with one platform, you need to read how this firearms actually works for takedown, cleaning and switching cartridges. The stumbling blocks will put the kibosh on all of these thoughts.
Any time you have the flexibility of switch barrel-type firearms there will be compromises. The more versatility/flexibility, the more compromises. So I suggest thinking through how and what you want this for as far as uses and go from there. As I've written, for fun and enjoyment, go for it.

A friend has one, I've borrowed it once in a while. Accuracy is OK, a tin cans at 50 yds sort of OK. Factory issue the trigger is beyond terrible, I found the feed ramp to be flimsy & thin metal tab. IIRC to clean it the stock must be removed. And not exactly a cheap purchase either. JMHO, but it strikes me as a $399.00 rifle being sold for $600.00 because it looks like an AR.
I'd get an AR upper instead or even better, a Ruger or Marlin "pistol caliber" carbine used.0 -
Thanks for all the input. I think I will pass on this one. 0
