1967 winchester model 70 in 270, whats it worth?
I am looking at buying a 1967 model 70 in 270. It appears to be in good shape with a period correct redfield 3x9 scope. whats it worth?

Go to the auction side and search for some similar good shape ones. Then do an advanced search for completed auctions and see what they actually sold for.

1967...$400.00-500.00 in most cases, and the scope is a give away.

I'll second tsr1965's opinion....$350-$500, especially in 270 since it's one of the more common chamberings. Most of these rifles aren't collectible, so after-market changes don't tend to influence prices as they do with the Pre-64 era guns. However, 67-era standard grade guns in 270 didn't come with recoil pads, just hard rubber butt plates, so a recoil pad would be an after-market add, if originality is important to you. Rifles from that era are usually mechanically sound and fairly accurate. However, inspect the hinged aluminum floor plate and the bottom metal. They may crack around the screws either from use or because they were torqued too tight. Cracked bottom metal may allow the action to shift within the stock and affect accuracy. Unless the rifle is all original and in very good condition, I'd stick closer to the bottom end of the range.
Check out the following auction since I suspect the depicted rifle is closer to the one you're considering: http://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=4415019410 -
