Astra A100 rear sight
I am thinking about replacing the rear sight on my A100. I believe it is simply wedged in. I need to know if that is true and which direction it should be tapped to remove and replace.

It looks like a dovetail. Unfortunately there is not standard direction to the taper. I'd try driving to from the left side looking down the gun in shooting position. If it seems stiff try the other way. Look for locking screw that comes from below (I didn't see one in the pic. Page 8 of the PDF.

Measure the dovetail first with the inside jaws of a dial caliper. Metric dovetails are a bear, if their 10 or 11 millimeter, as nothing available from Brownells will work. The most that you can hope for that the dovetail is smaller than our standard size 3/8, i.e. 9 millimeter. 0 -
I have one Mec-Gar replacement rear sight for the Astra A-80, A-90 & A-100 still unused. The installation instructions with it show drifting the rear sight from the right side to the left when looking down on the slide from the rear. 0
