OK, really spitballing on this one. Can't necessarily even tell which end is which, but assuming its a right handed bolt action, I assume the end to the right goes into the receiver in the chamber area. That weird collar/locking lug near the back of the receiver makes me think sub caliber device for an Enfield, or other rear locking receiver. The lug collar I bet rotates? If so, keeping in mind low rim fire pressures, that would act as a support area, and allow the bolt to be reciprocated? The post behind it would work as another alignment/ support area. Noticed its serial numbered...who knows what that means? Is there a visible firing pin, and if so, what kind? Rim activating or center fire? I am baffled. 0 -
For sure a rimfire with the offset firing pin.
Correcty, the collar does rotate.0 -
is the actual breech end with firing pin and extractor missing 0 -
No, the breech end is on the right side in the photos and the firing pin is about 1/4" recessed in that hole. 0 -
Looks like an old Lakefield bolt. ????? 0 -
Perhaps the bolt for a 22cal anchor/fastening tool. 0 -
Not for a cartridge firearm. 0
