Winchester Model 12 Slide Action Lock

My Model 12 does not lock-up. I can chamber a shell and with very little force pull open the chamber before firing. Do I need to replace the springs or the whole slide action assembly?

  Without a shell in the chamber. When the bolt is all the way forward in the battery position. Can the pump mechanism be cycled, without the trigger being pulled?

  Most likely just the springs on the lock. Or they (both or just one)
  could be bent.

  Worn out parts. Take apart weld up. Dress down. cold blue. Check fit. Drink 1 COLD beer.
