Remington 11-48 shotgun problems
I have a Remington 11-48 shotgun and when I shoot it it spits the bolt handle out on the ground. Im thinking the plate with the spring loaded ball needs to be repaired or replaced as the ball goes into the detent on the bolt to hold it in. Does anyone know if this is correct? Can the plate be repaired? Thanks for the help.

Been a long time since I worked on one. Try working some Kroil (or flushing with WD40 using the P tube) into the spring ball detent, maybe its clogged with gunk or rust. Use a toothpick or the shank end of a small drill bit to depress the ball and make sure it works freely. Check the edge of the recess (in the handle) to see it is sharp and not acting as a ramp.

Charliemeyer007, it looks like the bolt handle recess is slightly "ramped" as you call it. Ive ordered a new one, Thank You 0
