    If it's the 222 you have listed ( GB auction 436575000) It's a post 64 SG gun and way over priced for the condition

    Whoops sorry here is the link .. So Dokey you are saying this is a standard Model 70 that someone put a "Super Grade" floor plate on ? Thats what I am trying to find out..

    That is a standard grade rifle, with a Super Grade floor plate.
    IMO it is $1,200 over pried.

    MFI, if you were able to look at some post 64 Winchester catalogs showing the M70's it might help finding out what you have. Even try Googling

    I believe this is the so called XTR grade level with items such as checkering, ebony fore end with white line spacers, etc. My telling attribute for Super Grades Mod. 70's is the recessed sling attachments. Now, does anybody know where to get a super grade engraved floorplate? I have a late model Super Grade Model 70 with a plain floor plate. It would sure be nice to have that finishing touch.

    this appears to me as a pre 64 floor plate by the more rounded profile. nice rifle nonetheless, just altered a bit for price enhancement.

    That is actually a Model 70 XTR, with a Super Grade trigger guard, and floor plate.
