30mm Scope Mounting Alignment
Bought a new scope with a 30mm tube. Went googling to find a 30mmx150mm dowel pin to use for, base, ring, tube alignment. Looks like a big hill to climb to find one, especially at a reasonable price. With the proliferation of 30mm tubes I thought this would be easy to find, NOT! How has anyone else handled the 30mm alignment issue. Taking to a gunsmith is not an option.

Here's one for both 1" and 30mm.

Here's another for just 30's.

I realize neither is the one piece rod you're looking for.
You might maybe use a 30mm lapping rod, or do as I did and turn down a length of heavy wall DOM tube.
Just did a quick search and am surprised I couldn't find one selling shorts (by the foot). All were 4' and longer.
You might call a local machinist or metals supplier.0
