Hand Guard on Springfield 1903A3

Did the handguard come in only one piece? I have one that only covers the very front half. Needs a bottom piece to be complete. Your kind comments appreciated.

  I've got a new one that fits fine except it's only 15 3/4 in. long and does not cover the entire area needed. I bought it over 30 years ago for about $8. What the H..... [?]

  Interesting.
  I'm setting on several that are 15.19" OAL, all new old stock, & box is marked M1903.
  Does anybody know what this length HG might be native to?

  All Springfield 1903 after 1906, and Rock Island 1903 after 1907 are 15.2 inches long. Ref: The Model 1903 Springfield Rifle and It's Variations, 3rd ed.

  YOU NEED A FOREND FOR THE 'A3' THE 1903 IS TOO SHORT (THE REAR SIGHT ON THE 1903 MAKES UP THE DIFFERENCE
